Escape!
Although worn out and tired to the bone, the newly freed Raisins
followed the Smurfs back toward Smurfville, deep within Fungus Wood.
The trip through the 'Wood had seemed so long to the Smurfs
during the first trip, but now it seemed even longer.
"How much farther?", One of the Smurfs asked.
"Not far now", replied Papa Smurf.
"How much farther, Papa?", Another Smurf asked.
"Not far now", Papa replied.
After a while, even the Raisins became familiar with the pattern
and finally Jazz Hands exclaimed, "How much farther, Papa Smurf?
And I ain't askin' you agin, you ol' fool!"
You might be surprised to know that even with all the extra
complaining, the Smurfs and their new-found friends did
not
make it back to Smurfville even one minute earlier
than they had arrived.
