Teamspeak Server Information

We have our own Teamspeak server.

When you first log in, you won't be able to talk until your account is registered and you are given voice rights. This only needs to be done once. Coordinate with Ironblade or another administrator.

SETTINGS INFORMATION
If you don't already have the program installed, you need to go to Teamspeak.com, download the TeamSpeak 2 Client and install it on your computer. At the very least, you will need a microphone and speakers. You will get much better results with a headset (no background noise, feedback, etc).

In Teamspeak, go to the Connection menu and pick Connect.
In the Connect To Server window, right-click and pick Add Server. Give the server whatever name you want to identify it.
Fill in the following info: Server Address -
Nickname -
Allow server to assign a nickname -
Anonymous / Registered -
Auto-Reconnect -
ts16.darkstarllc.com:9221
Name you want to be listed as in the Teamspeak window.
Leave this blank.
Select Anonymous.
Check the Auto-Reconnect box.
Click on the Connect button to connect to the server.
Initially, you will not be able to talk. Ironblade or an administrator will have to be online with you the first time you connect and will set your account so that you can register with the server. When they tell you to, go to the Self menu and click Register With Server.

The program will ask you for a Login Name and User Password. Your Login Name can be the same as your nickname or it can be different. No one else will see it. Write down your Login Name and Password. If you forget them, you will have to go through this registration song and dance all over again.

Now you need to enter your Login Name and User Password in Teamspeak so it can remember them for you.
(You should probably keep them written down somewhere also.)

In Teamspeak, go to the Connection menu and pick Connect.
Click on the entry for our server and change the following three settings:.
Change - - - > Anonymous / Registered -
Login Name -
User Password -
Select Registered (This will change some dialog boxes.)
Enter the User Name and
Password you selected when registering with the server.

SERVER CAPACITY AND ACCESS
The server currently allows 10 simultaneous connections. This can be increased if we have sufficient demand. The server is divided into three channels so multiple separate teams can use it at the same time.
Once you are registered, you will automatically be able to talk when you log in. Also, you will be able to give other users the ability to talk on a one-time basis. This means that a friend who is not a member of our SG can join you on Teamspeak and you can give them the ability to talk for that session. You do this by right-clicking on their name and selecting Grant Voice. They should use the same connection instructions listed above but stopping before registering with the server.
