A good deal of my time has been spent working on a site called The
Lighthouse. This is a personal site I maintain with my father and
brother that addresses topics in which we are interested. There are several
pages worth attention (from a technical and/or creative standpoint):
| main page | which makes extensive use of tables (with and
without borders) and introduces the theme or 'feel' of the site. While I did not create the site... I introduced the use of tables.
I reduced the main picture from 90 KB to 35 (and made it larger).
I created the background image and the 'Lighthouse' title.
I introduced and designed the 'What's New' section (which I write).
| The Cave | for which I created the background and the animated banner |
| a site map | which simulates a 'clickable' image map and illustrates the precise positioning that can be accomplished with tables |
| The Aerie | which goes for a dramatic look |
